Irr – Irregulars
Stepped crystals (relief from small to sharp marked), corner absence, face split.
1q: 1st quality. Loupe clean stones, stones with minor near surface defect
2q: 2nd quality. Minor defect in a central part or several small defects in a peripherical zone, minor near surface crack that parallel to face.
3/4q: 3rd-4th quality. Small near face crack or in an intermediate zone. Small defect in a central part (each stone should be studied separately as rough for cutting). Interpenetrant ingrowth (embedded crystal) allowed. If interpenetration isn’t deep, additional defect (crack) allowed.
