FAQ of Pacor

How is the data for diamond modelling obtained?

A model of a diamond is computed on the base of projections obtained by a CCD camera. High-class systems include a digital camera for marking of extremely large rough diamonds.

How could internal inclusions be set?

One should provide two or more images of the inclusion in interactive mode, and then the real location of the inclusion will be computed automatically.

Are negative vertexes used for modelling?

No, they are not. However, one can take them into account in two ways: using internal inclusions mechanism correcting primary model based on a stereographic pair of negative vertexes' photos.

Which cuts could be used?

Cr-57, Pear, Marquise, Princess, Oval, ...

What is the marking process?

For the high- and middle-class systems the marking process is fully automatic. Low-class systems have a special technique for marking, giving marking lines of suitable precision in 2-3 minutes.

What kind of rough diamonds is system designed for?
